DirectOwner

How DirectOwner Works

DirectOwner is an owner-to-owner marketplace for cars and RVs. No dealership markups. No middlemen. Phase 1 is intentionally simple, with manual review and a strong focus on trust, safety, and transparency.

Phase 1: Listings are reviewed manually before posting. Buyer-seller contact may be coordinated with safety in mind while the marketplace grows.

For Buyers

  1. Browse listings from verified owners.
  2. Review details including vehicle info, pricing, and available listing content.
  3. Request contact or reach out through the marketplace support flow.
  4. Inspect and verify title, condition, VIN, and seller details before purchasing.
  5. Complete the purchase directly with the owner using safe payment and meeting practices.

For Sellers

  1. Submit a listing with your vehicle information and supporting details.
  2. Verification and review helps improve trust and reduce fraud.
  3. Publish the listing so interested buyers can find it.
  4. Communicate with buyers and answer questions directly.
  5. Sell directly without dealer trade-in pressure or middleman markups.

Trust & Safety

  1. Owner review helps reduce fake listings and suspicious activity.
  2. Transparency matters — accurate titles, conditions, and photos improve trust.
  3. Meet safely in public places and verify documentation before purchase.
  4. Report suspicious activity through DirectOwner support.
What Makes DirectOwner Different

Traditional vehicle buying often forces people into dealership inventory, trade-in pressure, hidden markups, and middleman friction. DirectOwner focuses on owner-to-owner transparency instead.

Buyers can explore vehicles directly from owners, while sellers keep more control over pricing and the sale process. The result is a simpler marketplace built around trust, clarity, and direct communication.

Financing Guidance

Some buyers may need financing to complete a private-party purchase. DirectOwner may provide guidance or connections to third-party financing partners where available, but DirectOwner is not a lender and does not make loan decisions.

Important Reminder

DirectOwner is a marketplace platform only. The final transaction takes place directly between buyer and seller. Buyers and sellers should complete their own due diligence, verify documents, and use safe meeting and payment practices.
